The Lost Candle

The English edition of A Vela Vermelha, first published in Portuguese on September 15, 2021, International Day of Democracy. In preparation.

The sudden murder of an elderly couple brings forth information about the location of one of humanity’s greatest secrets, unveiling the millennia-old battle between two hidden orders.

The victims are the adoptive parents of Professor Alex Ortiz, who was taken from Brazil to the United States as a child 37 years ago.

This tragic event leads Alex to accidentally discover a coded Masonic message, hidden for almost two centuries. His spouse is kidnapped, and now he has less than 30 hours to solve a complex puzzle that transports him into a dark universe of secret societies and gradually revealed mysteries, in the search for an artifact that, if found, will force him to choose between saving the world and saving the person he loves.

The truth has to be known, before it is too late.
